Better health through building habits

You’ve tried getting healthier before, right?  You probably tried making some big changes to how you eat.  Maybe you still belong to that gym you’re not using as much as you meant to.

We’ve been taught that getting healthy means big changes, and that the best way to do it is to dive in.  Haven’t you tried that route before?

I’d like to show you an easier, more enjoyable, more sustainable way to get healthy.

Over the years, I’ve come to understand that most people already know most of what they need to know to get healthier.  You probably do too.  Those times you didn’t get (or keep) that healthier life, it was probably because you were overwhelmed, or because you couldn’t see a way out of your situation.  You were probably taught that self-discipline was the way to change your life, and that if you failed it was because of your own shortcomings.

Here’s the thing.  Self-discipline will only take you so far.  There are real physiological and psychological reasons that this isn’t sustainable for most people.

A better approach is to build healthy habits.  Once you’ve established a habit, you don’t need self-discipline anymore.

When too much change is introduced at the same time, habits aren’t built.  You become overwhelmed.  You may be able to stick it out for a month, but where has that gotten you?  You don’t have the tools to maintain the changes.   If you don’t like the changes, you’ll feel like you’re missing out.  You won’t want to keep them.

I work with people to find three healthy habits that will make a major impact on their life.  Those habits vary from person to person.  From there, we work on one habit at a time until all three are a part of life.

It continues to amaze me the amount of change I see in people from only three habits: improved blood pressure, better digestion, more energy, weight loss, less stress, clearer thought, less headaches, and more.  Best of all, once things are habit, they’re easy to maintain.

I want to help you create the change you wish to see in your own health.  I want you to like the changes and sustain them into the future.  I want you to never have to go on another diet or see another nutritionist again.
